Saying Goodbye to a Friend

| | Comments (2)

I just got a phone call telling me that a good friend has just died. They told me that Casey Calvert of Hawthorne Heights died last night in his sleep.

I have been on many tours with Casey over the past couple of years. Casey was one of the nicest people I have met in all my years on the road. I used to give him a hard time about leaving a venue before he needed to be on stage to go watch 'A Nightmare before Christmas' or some other similar type movie. He was always so nice to everyone he met and willing to take the time to say hello to his fans. He also cared about the animals he created several PSA's for peta2.com and was always willing to be the voice for the animals.

I really do not know what to say but Casey will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to his family and band mates.

I am so sorry for your loss and the grief that you must be experiencing. Please know that you are in my prayers and I hold Casey in the light.

The pain that one feels when they lose a friend in one that could only ever be explained by someone who has felt that pain. I understand that pain all to well. Know that you and Casey are in my heart, and that through his music he will never be forgotten. You have to hold your head high even with a heavy heart. And remember that it is only human to grieve and to cry.
You have my support during this difficult time in your life.
