As you may already know and maybe sick of hearing about - I am obsessed by 3D movies.
There are so many 3D movies coming out this year. U2 3D - Yes, the band U2 has an IMAX 3D film that just hit the theaters. Along with U2 - Hannah Montana's 3D movie is coming out soon.
Not all films are of bands, Fly Me to the Moon - is about three young houseflies stow away aboard the Apollo 11 flight to the moon.
As much as I like going to the theater to see 3D movies - nothing beats having a theater at your home. - especially if it is a 3D theater And today my 3D theater just got a little better because I have upgraded my system with the Sensio processor. Sensio is recognized as the worldwide 3D home video standard in the industry and they create the 4D theatre designed for amusement parks, attractions, museums. You know like the Shrek 4D ride at Universal Studios.
As awesome as the Sensio processor nothing is more exciting than the re-releases of some of the great 3D movies of the past. Before I go on about the re-release - I have to say nothing makes me more upset* than when a 3D movie comes out in theaters and makes its way to DVD - it is released in 2D What is the point to having an 3D movie if it comes out on DVD in 2D - how lame is that?! (*other things make me more upset, like Ringling beating elephants for example.)
Anyway, I was happy to hear when Sensio announced that they are going to re-release several movies in 3D - yes, movies that were made in 3D are now going to be on DVD in 3D.

I just found this documentary on CBC News website and its is really good. I was shocked at some of the things they uncovered in this investigative report - everyone should check it out.

Twenty-five years ago, Bob Mckeown and a fifth estate crew stunned the country with an investigative report that showed that many of the wildlife documentaries we'd grown up watching on television (remember the famous footage of the lemmings going off the cliff or some of the memorable moments from shows like Wild Kingdom?) were staged for the television cameras. As well, they revealed that animals often died during the making of movies; all for the sake of the entertainment value.
Now, Bob McKeown and an investigative team have returned to the subject to find out what has changed since the fifth estate's first Cruel Camera documentary. What they found may astonish you.

PETA has received word from East Meadow-based oil company Lukoil Americas, a subsidiary of Russian oil-giant LUKOIL, that the company will no longer promote Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and will not form any future partnerships with the circus.
The move came just roughly one hour after PETA posted an action alert on its popular Web site asking visitors to e-mail Lukoil and urge it to break all ties with Ringling because of the circus's history of animal abuse. Lukoil advised PETA in an e-mail, "Per our conversation today, we do not have a sponsorship/partnership with Ringling Bros. and are not going to in the future." Lukoil--which operates more than 2,100 gas stations in 13 Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states--had hosted promotional events featuring Ringling clowns at some of its locations.
I know I said it once and I am going to say it again - YOU GUYS ROCK! - This victory came in one hour - Yes, one hour!
This is another awesome victory for the elephants and other animals that Ringling keeps chain, in cages and beats.
Lukoil joins General Mills, Burger King, Denny's, Liz Claiborne, MasterCard, Ford Motor Company, and Sears, Roebuck & Co.--all of which ended their sponsorships of either Ringling or UniverSoul circuses.

As you know, I am on the road and in the streets keeping an eye on Ringling Bros. It is great to meet so many people who come out and help protest the abuse Ringling tries so a hard to cover up.
So, I am happy to introduce a great friend that I have known for a long time, who has joined the Ringling Beats Elephants tour with me.
His name is Joel Green, you may know him as the original bass player of the band Emery or from the PSA's, or interviews that he has done for peta2.com You may have seen him hanging out in the film, Wake Up Screaming!
Let's welcome Joel to the tour and come hang out with us when we hit your city and hit the streets to protest Ringling.
PETA just got heads up from a whistleblower that elephant trainer Joe Frisco Jr. was attacked by an elephant belonging to Ringling. The attack allegedly took place while Ringling was performing in Miami on or around January 7. The whistleblower reported that Frisco's injuries were severe enough to send him to the hospital and that he may have spent three to four days recovering. The source claims that Frisco "has been pounding" on the elephant, who is believed to be a 5½-year-old male named P.T
As you know, Joe Frisco Jr. is the brother of Tim Frisco, also an elephant trainer, who was caught on tape viciously beating elephants with steel-tipped bullhooks for the Carson & Barnes Circus. The Friscos learned their trade from their father, who was also a Ringling trainer.
Of course, Ringling is denying the attack by issuing a statement on Wednesday stating that Frisco "received minor injuries after falling while walking with a juvenile elephant in the elephant barn in Miami."
I have fallen several times throughout my life - some pretty bad falls while walking, but none that sent me to the hospital or required a three to four day recovery. So personally, if Frisco is not a soft shell, fragile man, (which he is not) I think Ringling is trying to cover up their abusive habits that caused P.T. to fight back and hurt Joe Frisco jr.
I am sorry to hear that Joe got hurt. I would never wish any harm to him or the other Ringling animal (abusers) handlers but I do hope Joe thinks hard about why P.T. may have ran toward him like a freight train and pinned him to a trailer (according to an informed source). I hope he learns that when you hit an elephant long enough, he or she is going to hit back.
The PETA press release said it best, "Elephants who are routinely abused in circuses become ticking time bombs. The beatings lead to attacks, and the attacks lead to more beatings. This is not the first time that PETA has received a report that an elephant attacked a Ringling trainer, and it probably won't be the last."
Nothing will poison your soul quicker than gossip. Whether in your personal life or professional life, there is basically not a more swift form of self destruction.
When you gossip to others and pass judgment in an attempt to keep the "hot potato" going your reputation goes straight down the crapper as well.
As people attempt to gossip their insecurities away by chewing the fat of others' lives they often forget that there are listening and loving ears all around that without a doubt will eventually lend themselves to the gossip victim. It ALWAYS gets back to the person who was being gossiped about, and then you are shit out of luck at ever having any sort of friendship with that person, because you have proved yourself to be untrustworthy, vicious, and downright backstabbing. Not to mention that others will not trust you because they see the way you try to tear the rest of the world down.
So I implore you to always think a bit before you speak. If you are dying to discuss how "fat" someone got after the holidays, maybe you should figure out just why you hate your own body image so much.
If you feel like talking about how someone's boyfriend is sleeping around, you better be the one who slept with him.
I often meet girls and boys who have loved ones who are not always able to be with them, for whatever reason. I myself am physically separated from my partner very often. Distance does not equal infidelity and it is extremely hurtful and demeaning for others to cut up these relationships and make their own assumptions based on the stereotypes of how band members, truck drivers, sailors, or a multitude of others are presumed to behave.
They do not know you. They do not know your partner. They want what you have but are too insecure with themselves to ever find it.
To all of the strong people who have partners away in bands, on tours, on ships or for whatever reason, listen to no one and follow your hearts. Love with all you have and continue to compulsively write, text, email, and adore your sailors, drummers, truck drivers, and activists.
If you are a gossiper, it's never too late to right your wrongs. While you may have severed ties with those in the past, you can make a conscious decision to curb your forked tongue ways today. If you don't, have no fear--the karma police will never fail to do their job and you will likely change your ways when you one day reach rock bottom.
So grab the knives from all those innocent unsuspecting backs and marvel in amazement at how beautiful your reflection looks in them.

In less than six months, we convinced Denny's to prematurely terminate its partnership with notorious animal abuser, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. On Monday, January 7th, Denny's rep. contacted PETA to say they ended their partnership as of December and had no plans to partner with the circus again in the future.
Seven days into the New Year - We have the first Victory against Ringling Bros. for 2008! - WOO-HOO!
You sent letters, and e-mails and called (more than 10,000 did), we held demonstrations at each of the CEO's speaking engagements and at the HQ. It was because of all of the hard work everyone put into this campaign that Denny's made the compassionate decision to stop promoting Ringling.
Denny's was Ringling's ONLY national sponsor and because of you spreading the word and taking action (more than 10,000 people did) - it is over!
Let us keep the pressure on Ringling- but lets take a break and go have a veggie burger at Denny's to celebrate!
This is a major victory for elephants, tigers, and other animals who are being dragged around the country in cramped boxcars and forced to perform silly and often painful tricks under the threat of beatings and punishment. Thanks to all of you who worked hard on this campaign.
