Some people think that Rock n Roll and horror films go hand and hand but sometimes I think people take that thought a little too far.

Here is my Top 6 List of Rock n Roll Horror films that went too far.

Rock n Roll Frankenstein

A music agent, his necrophiliac nephew and a burnt-out roadie with a knack for grave-robbing team to create a superstar from some of the greatest rockers who ever lived: Elvis, Morrison, Hendrix, Vicious. But things go bad when Liberace’s love tool mistakenly ends up in the mix.


Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal

Heavy metal singer Slade Craven is scheduled to perform his farewell concert on a Boeing 747, TransCon Airlines flight 619, which will be flying from Los Angeles to Toronto, and the concert is scheduled to be broadcast over the Internet. It has been said that the FAA has received threats that they had better allow this concert to take place. Erica Black is a reporter who is on the airplane with her cameraman Ethan, covering the concert. For the past two years, FBI agent Kate Hayden has been after hacker Nick Watts, who has gained access to the live broadcast of the concert. When Kate arrives at Nick’s home, Kate and Nick see something that they never thought was supposed to be part of the broadcast Craven kills the pilot and takes the airplane hostage.

Hard Rock Zombies

A hard rock band travels to the tiny and remote town of Grand Guignol to perform. Peopled by hicks, rubes, werewolves, murderous dwarves, sex perverts, and Hitler, the town is a strange place but that doesn’t stop the band’s lead singer from falling in love with a local girl named Cassie. After Nazi sex perverts kill the band to satisfy their lusts, Cassie calls the rockers back from the grave to save her, the town, and maybe the world.

Trick or Treat staring Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne.

Hard rock idol Sammi Curr  burns to death in a hotel fire. His biggest fan, Lakeridge High School student and resident metal head Eddie Weinbauer  is devastated by the news and turns to local radio DJ “Nuke” (Gene Simmons) for emotional support. After a heated discussion about the deceased rock star, Nuke presents Eddie with a rare demo record, the last ever recorded by Sammi and the only copy in existence. Overwhelmed by Nuke’s generosity, Eddie accepts the gift without hesitation, unaware of it’s dark role in things to come.

Rock n Roll Nightmare

At an old farmhouse, a family mysteriously dissapears at the hands of evil. Years later, hair metal band The Tritons comes to the farmhouse, whose barn now features a 24-track recording studio. Lead singer John Triton gets the band to perform their first night in the farmhouse after dinner, and weird little beasties suddenly appear, and strange things start to happen. Band members (and their tag along girlfriends) begin to act strangely and vanish one by one. Soon, only John Triton remains, and he holds a secret. Finally, the evil shows itself and a battle between heaven and hell ensues

Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park

The tale of rock band KISS and their efforts to thwart a diabolical plan by mad scientist Abner Devereaux. Devereaux has found a way to clone humans into robots in his laboratory at an amusement park. It just so happens that he plans to uses the KISS concert as a platform to unleash his plan on the world. KISS must use their special powers to stop him.
