This Non-Religious Life Episode 72: All Atheists Go To Heaven?

This week we get an extra special treat. Recently, Pope Francis said that atheists who do good deeds are redeemed. This is, of course, in line with traditional Catholic soteriology, that is, that good deeds are enough to get someone out of the threat of hell. This is in opposition to the more common Protestant interpretation that only through faith in Jesus can someone be saved (Sola fide). However, a church official wanted to set the record straight that non-believers must still become followers of Christ in order to attain heaven. Come listen to Bob, Jason and me discuss this topic in depth this Thursday, May 30 at 8pm Pacific Time.
