Wildcraft! An Herbal Adventure Game

Yes, you read the title correctly.  ‘Wildcraft! An Herbal Adventure Game.‘  I can think of a hundred things wrong with this title but before I go on let me give you some of the back story to why I choose to pick this as the title of this post. [singlepic id=964 w=320 h=240 float=right]

If you are  a reader of Zombie Popcorn,  you would know that I am married to the wonderful woman, Mylie T. You would also know the hell she puts me through with all the cuteness and Hello Kitty merchandise- the toaster, the clocks, the oven, the insanity!  I thought that I gotten into the swing of things and found a way to not have all of this stuff overwhelm me – I thought… boy, was I wrong!

Mylie came running at me today with a huge smile on her face and the glow of excitement in her eyes – I knew I was in trouble.  She said, “You know how I HATE board games?  Well, I found one that we totally can play together and I just ordered it!”

Ok, this is where you, the reader, refer back to the title of this post.  Yes,  ‘Wildcraft! An Herbal Adventure Game‘.

Mylie went into detail about this game and how you could do all this amazing stuff.  — Instead of going on and on about what Mylie told me about this game, why don’t you just watch this video and you will hear everything I heard.

The Story…

Grandma needs huckleberries to bake a pie. You and your cousins embark on an adventure up the mountain to collect berries as well as herbs she uses.

Will you all harvest the right plants to help with the trouble you run into along the way?

Will you make it back before nightfall?

The only way to win is by helping each other out.

Wildcraft! teaches you 25 important edible and medicinal plants and their uses in mostly first aid situations. (Wildcrafting is the harvesting of wild plants)

It also teaches team work, for you will rely on each other’s knowledge of plants and good fortune to make it to the Huckleberry Patch and safely back to Grandma’s.

Wildcraft! is a great introduction to the world of edible and medicinal herbs for children of ALL ages.

It’s a beautifully illustrated, nature based, cooperative game created in the tradition of the classic board games.

Wildcraft! includes a 20×20 inch game board, instructions, 4 player pieces, 52 plant cards, 52 trouble cards, 25 cooperative cards, and a spinner. It also comes with a downloadable story to enhance the story of the game.

So, if you are ever invited to a party at our house – you will know what game people will be playing…..
